Graffiti Art Commissions
Since it's often asked, yes, I can be hired for custom artwork and painting commission work. I'm available for:
- Set decoration
- Illustration- Pen and ink, pencil, watercolor, or digital
- Tattoo designs
- Clothing design
- Whatever else you might dream up. For example I've done a custom Chuppah, how many people can say that?
While everything is negotiable (to some degree) my base rate for commissioned work is $50 an hour plus materials with 1/2 the estimated or negotiated cost payable up front.
In general, commissions cost between $200 and $1000 for completed work. Larger, more detailed, or commissions that require many preparatory drawings might be considerably more expensive.
Reproduction rights are not included and would need to be negotiated separately.
How To Commission Artwork
There's no formal structure to a commission, so the he best way to get started is to take a look around the site to get a sense of the styles I do and then EMAIL me to get the conversation started. I'll work closely with you to understand your goals and design your piece.
I will also keep you well informed throughout the process as to cost and time to delivery.
The process can vary wildly depending on the project. As you can imagine, decorating a set to look like a grimy urban back alley or painting a custom mural on your wall is much different than creating a custom canvas.
In the case of canvases and illustrations, once we've decided on a direction I'll begin work. In order to address any potential concerns or problems that might arise I'll periodically update you on the process with photographs or scans of the work in progress. This will culminate in an image of the completed work for your approval prior to it being shipped to you. At this time the remaining 1/2 of my fee is due.
I accept checks, money orders and (preferred) Paypal.
For other types of projects a mutually agreeable framework will need to be agreed to in advance of the work being performed.
Contact me if you're interested and I can answer any questions you might have.
