Banksy Again- One Nation Under CCTV

This has to be one of his finest moments. Just the circumstances alone are enough to make it a top work, but when one considers the number of Closed Circuit cameras there are in London it get pushed near the top of the heap.

Banksy pulled off an audacious stunt to produce what is believed to be his biggest work yet in central London.

The secretive graffiti artist managed to erect three storeys of scaffolding behind a security fence despite being watched by a CCTV camera.

Then, during darkness and hidden behind a sheet of polythene, he painted this comment on 'Big Brother' society.

None too shabby.

Banksy + Kate Moss = Big Bucks

They were going for $20,000 not so long ago. £96,000 is a long way away from $20,000.

Banksy in Bethlehem

The inevitable Banksy post :)

William Gibson or Banksy, who has been mentioned here more often? Maybe William Gibson since I steal links from him and repost them here all the time (as recently as last week, actually.)

Anyway, here's some new Banksy goodness (and a link to an old favorite found on flickr):

Elusive graffiti artist Banksy has struck again, this time in the Holy Land with a series of stencilled works on the security wall in Bethlehem.

The Bristol-born artist has adorned the West Bank barrier with six new images, including a dove wearing a flak jacket and a soldier being frisked by a young girl.

It coincides with the opening tomorrow of a new exhibition in Bethlehem which is aimed at bringing people to the West Bank to see the situation there first hand.

Graffiti artist Banksy strikes again – in Bethlehem

I'm going through my blog archives and finding interesting things.

In general, I'm deleting some old crap that goes nowhere and categorizing everything else. As a bonus to that I've found a bunch of interesting old posts and trends that I'd totally forgotten about. Here's one example- This morning I was in the middle of sorting January 2002, when I found my first mention of Banksy here.

I'm ahead of the curve.
