Compete.com – The internet revealed

They soft-launched it last week. This week the official launch, complete with video- Compete Blog » Compete.com – The internet revealed

Woo-hoo!

A new site I worked on is live – Compete.com

Compete just launched their new search and Snapshot services.

I prototyped the xHMTL and CSS for the search app and coded up both the generic and Ajax tooltips in use throughout both sites. It was an extremely fun project to work on. All of the folks over at Compete are cool, working with Tom is always a pleasure and the actual project itself was fun as heck as I got to do a lot of things I actually like to do on this project (as opposed to things that just pay the bills.)

I made this.

Another site I worked on is live: A Wider Net.

I turned it around from PSD to fully functioning site in a little over a day.

I love WordPress.

Of all the designs I've worked on so far at Cramer (a surprising number considering how long I've been there), this one is my favorite and the CSS was pretty streamlined/straightforward, so I'm pretty happy with my contribution as well.

I did the CSS and xHTML layout for the main page and then skinned the Community Server driven blog.

The main page layout is actually pretty cool, especially when you consider it was one of the first things I was asked to do at my new job. It's table-less, 3 columns, centered, with a footer that flows as needed based on the content of any of the columns. It's also got that tricky blue line that snakes through the whole design. *pats self on back*
