Sure, he meant a lot to Red Sox nation back in the day. Would I have been able to stomach it if he'd won his 300th against the Sox? No way in hell. I would be driven crazy by that fact 'til the end of my days.

If Sean McDonough is no longer even the part-time voice of the Red Sox and we're stuck with Don Orsillo full-time I'm going to strangle somebody. Sean McDonough is one of the the best in the business, regardless of his tenure, and once you factor in his 15 years of service and incredible passion for the team, it would be nothing short of an outrage to let him walk out the door.
