Kiss of the Dragon = Looking good.

The trailer for Jet Li's newest flick, Kiss of the Dragon is available and judging from the trailer, it looks like we have a winner. I haven't watched it in detail, but I saw maybe five fight scenes and the glimpses I saw looked pretty damn cool.

For whatever reason… a song of the day

If you're cool you'll have the live version of this from Biograph, so put it on, then surf on over and read the (not particularly clear in the live version) lyrics to Bob Dylan's Romance in Durango. BobDylan.com has a clip if you've just got to hear it and your amongst the Dylan deficient in the crowd ("Ohh, who let in the cool kid!")

Would you buy a painting from yourself for 80 million dollars?

That's the scenario discussed in this Forbes.com article about the upcoming sale of a Cezanne painting. Seems that there's some talk about this painting bringing in a record breaking figure at auction. Thing is, there's some other talk about Bernard Arnault (who owns Phillips, the auction house doing the sale) bidding up the painting to record levels (via proxy) as something of a publicity stunt. Phillips, you see, owns the canvas outright, so all the money would, in effect, go right back into his own pocket.

I love multi-million dollar sleaze. Legal sleaze is even better. Stuff that would make a nice anecdote in a William Gibson book really makes my day.

Maybe, just maybe my boys could pull it off. Yeah, and maybe I'm a Chinese jet pilot.

Bruce Campbell wrote an autobiography. The title? "If Chins Could Kill (Subtitled – Confessions of a "B" Movie Actor)" That guy is awesome.

You rascal you.

Got around to reading The Illuminated Lantern today. Interesting stuff, but the most most noteworthy part of the experience was coming away with a real interest in the Young and Dangerous series (and its spinoffs.) Who woulda thunk it?
