Memorial Day at the Graffiti Hall of Fame

Always fun to see who does what at the Hall of Fame. WhatYouWrite.com has some of the pictures. The TATS crew wall, TKID, EWOK, SWET and KEO are the highlights I've seen. Graffopoly will be nice once it's done.

Oooh, another song of the day.

I had this one stuck in my head all day yesterday, so I'm going to pawn it off on all of you: Digsy's Diner off of Oasis' first record, Definitely Maybe

.

Forty six thousand for a pair of jeans, that's even better than people were getting in Russia in the 80s

Levi Strauss just paid $46,532 for a pair of jeans they manufactured in the 1880s. They're thought to be the oldest in existance. Even so, that's a lot of change for a pair of jeans. Which, of course, has me scheming. I've probably got a pair in a bag somewhere manufactured in the 1980s. I think I'll put 'em on Ebay and well how I do. "Actual Levi's from the 1980s. Soiled with malt liquor, missing a back pocket and sporting a nasty set of ragged cuffs. the bidding starts at four hundred dollars."

They'll be talking about this one on Yancey Street.

I just realized that this year will mark the 40th anniversary of the Fantastic Four. The first issue of that series changed comics forever and the ensuing run that Jack Kirby and Stan Lee put together is one of the greatest in the history of the medium. I've read most of the issues between 1 and 100 and I can honestly say that it's amongst the best stuff I've ever read.

Just in case you needed it spelled out in big bold letters.

The clearest evidence yet that I'm no longer involved with the Weekly Dig's film section showed up today in the form of an article entitled Masters of Italian Horror. For starters, it's the only article in the section which rarely happened when I was around to bat cleanup. And then, as anyone that knows me is aware, I hate italian horror with a passion. So that is definitely a piece that wouldn't have been written on my watch. In fact, Suspiria, one of the films profiled, is one of those special movies that's liable to get my head all filled up with negative vibes.

Oh well.
