Monster Month : Two Headed Boy (Monster)

I'm Teaching a Class on Street Art as Part of the BCAE's Street Wise Event November 12, 2011

This is going to be a fun couple of hours. I'll be doing a quick intro to graffiti/street art and then we'll get hands on with some paint, wheat paste and whatever else comes in handy.

Street Wise – Boston Center for Adult Education.

Street Art
Time: 11:00AM to 1:00PM
Instructor: Rob Larsen

While the term still denotes an illegal form of artistic vandalism, “street art” has actually become a legitimate and powerful form of artistic expression. With major museum exhibitions, Oscar(tm) nominated documentaries and a healthy place in the auction circuit, graffiti and street art have grown beyond their traditional street domain and have invaded popular culture at the deepest level. In this class students will examine the history and development of the movement and will then have the opportunity to experiment with some of the techniques and visual grammar using a variety of media.

And So It Begins: MONSTER MONTH 2011 Yeah! #monstermonth

October is upon us. That can mean only one thing… I'm going to draw a monster every day until Halloween.

See it large!

Are you doing it too? Post a link to your blog/twitter/tumblr/whatever in the comments and I'll add them to this post. It's crazy fun.

Other folks doing it:

Also, since Twitter is stupid and breaks words on "-" (#monster-month points to #monster), the hashtag on Twitter needs to be #monstermonth. You've been alerted.
