I went to Rockport this past weekend for a nice little day trip.

Yeah, I took a photograph of this oft-photographed building. Sue me. I actually like this.

Rockport is a lot of fun. It's extraordinarily touristy, but that's okay sometimes.

This piece will be going up for auction at the Brattle Art House Auction on October 3, 2010. Just thought I'd share it now to get you guys excited.

I'll have a lot more info about the event as I get it. For now? Inky goodness.

If you're not familiar, the scene is from Infernal Affairs, a film I adore. The scene is one of my favorite from the film and, for me, it captures the very essence of the film. This is the first really tight ink drawing I've done in a couple of years. It was fun. Hopefully it'll bring in a lot of money for the Brattle.

Bike Friday

I did Bike Friday last week. It was a lot of fun riding into town a big convoy like that. Sure, it probably took 20 minutes longer than my normal commute, but it was still very cool.

Plus, FREE coffee and food when you get to city hall (thanks to the awesome sponsors)

SKY High?

Literally, in my case. I'm splitting my time between the Isobar home base in Watertown and the Hancock building so for the first time in many years I'm spending at least some of my days in a actual skyscraper. Cube walls mean I don't see much, in terms of views, but when I do see them they're impressive.

What's also impressive is actually being downtown again. After a couple of years working out of the house, a year in Brookline (which was great,) three and a half in Norwood and another six months in Watertown it's nice to actually spend my days surrounded by The City. My whole life, up until 2004, had been centered around Boston proper between the Hospital area and the Financial District. For the past 6 years it's been the opposite.

For what it's worth, I like this better (although the important part of the equation is still the job itself and that will always win out over location.)
