Ooooh, Graffiti Photos Posted to Flickr
It wasn't my biggest day ever, but I did take a bunch of street graffiti photos and, as I'm wont to do, I posted them to flickr.

I did Bike Friday last week. It was a lot of fun riding into town a big convoy like that. Sure, it probably took 20 minutes longer than my normal commute, but it was still very cool.
Plus, FREE coffee and food when you get to city hall (thanks to the awesome sponsors)
I took some photos:
Literally, in my case. I'm splitting my time between the Isobar home base in Watertown and the Hancock building so for the first time in many years I'm spending at least some of my days in a actual skyscraper. Cube walls mean I don't see much, in terms of views, but when I do see them they're impressive.
What's also impressive is actually being downtown again. After a couple of years working out of the house, a year in Brookline (which was great,) three and a half in Norwood and another six months in Watertown it's nice to actually spend my days surrounded by The City. My whole life, up until 2004, had been centered around Boston proper between the Hospital area and the Financial District. For the past 6 years it's been the opposite.
For what it's worth, I like this better (although the important part of the equation is still the job itself and that will always win out over location.)
Anyway, this says SKY:

I get there. Sometimes it takes me longer than others to get to the explaining….
In this painting at least. This is from the top of Bussey Hill in the Arboretum and it wasn't until we rode our bikes down the hill that we realized there was a bit of a haze in the air. For the rest of the day, of course, the smoke drifting in from Canada was front and center. It was still a nice day-off, but it was certainly a little different than we're used to. At point visibility was down to a couple of miles. Considering how nice the day was, that's basically insane.
Here's the painting:

Watercolors are fun. I'm just sayin'
How crazy was the smoke? Here's the view from Peter's Hill at sunset:
Normally, you can see the entire Boston skyline. The Hancock building is only 4 miles away from Peter's Hill. You couldn't even begin to make it out. I'm guessing there was less than 2/3 miles of visibility at that point. Again, insane.
The finished product:
The time-lapse video.
