DrunkenFist.com Turns 10 Years Old This Weekend

On July 19, 2009, DrunkenFist.com turns 10. It's slightly older as a web property, but it officially launched on July 19, so that's the birthday.

Let the festivities begin.

For real :) I've got a ton of fun stuff ready to go over the next few months to celebrate this momentous occasion.

And really, it is kind of momentous. How many personal sites have hit double digit birthdays and have stayed as vibrant as this place?

So what do I have set to go?

For starters, I added the little badge up in the top right corner of the browser window (unless you're in IE6, where it's just the top right of the screen.) In addition to that I've got a series of "Ten for Ten" blog posts about movies, sports, art and the site itself scheduled to go over the next few months. It's a cool time to take a look back at what I've done here over the years.

And then, some time soon, I'll have a full redesign of the site ready to go. I'm almost done with the design, so it shouldn't be too long until I can sit down and work on developing the beast. I'm really happy with it so far, but it'll be even cooler as a living, breathing thing.

For now, I just want to thank the hundreds of thousands of people who have visited this site over the years (including each and every one of the 299,178 of you who visited so far this year) without all of you stumbling upon this place and finding something useful I probably would have packed it up a long time ago.

THANK YOU!
