The View from No. 28
I've been there a couple of times now. This time, I drew there. The mausoleum of Augustus is in the background of this image. I've yet to actually see it as it's been in renovation for several years. One of these days.

This is from the plane home.

These are some massive ruins.

What it really looked like:

Next time I'm there I'm binging the best paper I can buy and spending 30-45 minutes drawing the Bernini sculptures. They're plainly incredible. These were super fast, in pen, in a Field Notes notebook. Not optimal. Fun, but not optimal.

I've decided to move all of my writing about the web and web technology over to one place. That place is- HTML + CSS + JavaScript.
Why? I wanted to separate out that stuff so I can present a single point for people interested in those subjects. For example, when I give a presentation it's a lot easier to say "this is where I write about the web," than it is to explain this place.
It also allows me to be a little freer with what I post around here, which will be fun.
So, if you're here because I occasionally write articles about web and web technology, make sure you check out what I'll have going on over there. If you're here because of the art, writing on entertainment and my random musings on sports, then by all means, stick around here. Or read both. I'll have no complaints
I'll likely post a few times a week. Code samples, interesting links with commentary, and editorializing will be the main content. Peruse the web category here for a blueprint.
As with everything I do, it's a work in progress, so please let me know if anything goes horribly awry. I'll be tinkering for months over there getting everything tweaked out properly, so the more feedback I get, the better.
