Good for Vic Ketchman that he doesn't have to suit up.
Because the Patriots are going to be completely fired up for this week's game thanks to him.
Why?
On the jaguars.com Power Rankings, the Patriots are listed with an asterisk.
No. Really.
Is that the stupidest thing you've ever seen? Giving a team that thrives on playing the disrespect card a whopper like that in the week leading up to the game? Is that completely and utterly insane? Yes it is. The Pats should be out of their heads come kickoff time.
And yes, it was published after the regular season and not just for this week- but still. He had to know it was possible (likely?) that th Jags would play the Pats in the first round. maybe he wants to get on Gregg Easterbrook's good side. Or maybe he's been doing it all year? Either way, it's come out now, so things should be interesting this weekend.
[updated]
They pulled the asterisk. What's up with that? Why bother? It's not like the controversy (such as it is) is going to go away because the asterisk is gone. We all saw it. We can't unsee it just because it's gone from the Internet lol

Just another team that will get a smack on the face when they walk off the field with a lost by the almighty Patriots and Suge Belichick.

We'll see how the game goes. The jags are going to be tough, but the pats will be ready to play.

Disrespect? Dude, calling the Pats cheaters isn't smack talk. It's documented. It's pubic record. It's a fact. Maybe your definition of cheating differs from mine, but Belichick broke the rules to gain a competitive advantage. How is that not cheating?
Ketchman has indeed been doing the asterisk thing all season long as a joke. And while I agree it's not all that funny, it's the God's honest truth.
I think it's funny that NE gets caught cheating, and now they've got a big chip on their shoulders because people call them cheaters.

The point of the post is not about cheating. They obviously broke the rules in the Jets game and were punished for it. But I wasn't talking about that.
This post is about the way the Patriots can take any slight and turn it into fuel for Sunday (or in this case Saturday.) And even that isn't related to just this year. I mean, when they went 34-4 in winning the two super bowls they were somehow able to do the same thing week after week.

The spying had no effect on this season what so ever. First half of the first game. Hey, having 12 guys on the field is also cheating. It gives one team a "competitive advantage". You get penalized and move on. Its all the jealous fans that keep bringing it up. This editor Vic, is just trying to get attention because he was a loser in High School.
