Basso signs Nike deal

Cycling news is bubbling up a little bit the past couple of days:

"In another emulation of ex-rival Lance Armstrong, Italy's Ivan Basso signed a sponsorship deal with Nike estimated at $1.5 million per year for the next two seasons."

Assuming there are no more shoes waiting to drop, I'm quite excited to see Basso perform this year- especially at the Tour, which looks like it will be very competitive.
