I was reading the (generally angst-ridden) comments on this post: IEBlog : Be Ready for Automatic Update Distribution of IE7 by November 1, when I came across this link- IE7: Using IE6 and IE7 together, which outlines an incredibly straightforward method for installing both IE6 and IE7 on the same machine.

I'm going to take a shot at this first thing this morning when I get into work. Why work and not home? At work, I back up my machine every day at noon so I can just roll that sucker back if there's a digital explosion
